PLAY Project Intensive Workshop | Now offered Live, Livestream and through our Intensive Workshop Online!
Richard Solomon, MD, founder of The PLAY Project, believes every young child with autism should have access to life-changing early intervention, by empowering their parents or caregivers. The PLAY Project strives to create a world where all children with autism receive early intervention services and parents choose the best treatment options for their child.
This professional development opportunity will provide you with an overview of the PLAY Project methods and principles along with case studies to gain immediate skills in helping children with autism. The workshop consists of case studies, video analysis of parent and child interaction, and group activities that develop your skills in play-based, developmental and behavioral techniques for engaging children with autism and other developmental delays.
Presented in 2-Day Live, Livestream format, or as our Intensive Workshop Online (PLAY IWO).
Who will benefit:
Our intensive workshop will be of interest to administrators and policy makers involved with autism services, parents of children with autism, and providers who serve these children. This workshop can serve as a first step in pursuing the Certified PLAY Project and Teaching PLAY Consultant credential.

– Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the PLAY Project, PLAY Autism Intervention, 7 circles of PLAY and can begin helping children with autism and their caregivers immediately!
– Implement methods that help children with autism to (1) increase their social interaction and (2) develop a joyous relationship with their caregivers and other adults!
– Identify techniques that help improve language, social skills, behavior, development, and play skills of children with autism!
– Describe how a child’s unique profile is created and develop a plan to improve the child’s social interaction based on the profile!
“What a great course! It was so refreshing to be taught and facilitated LIVE by the developmental pediatrician himself, Dr. Solomon, who developed The PLAY Project. Putting the emotional, imaginative and social minds of autistic children and their families at the forefront and coaching parents to be the most influential player is at the heart of this work.” – Chelsey H. Occupational Therapist, Live Stream Workshop Attendee 2020
“This is one of the most valuable workshops – assessing the video case studies provided valuable insight in The PLAY Project principles and methods. I look forward to incorporating the techniques within my speech therapy sessions to empower ALL families to play with purpose!” – Laura P., PLAY Project Workshop Attendee
“At The PLAY Project’s Autism Intensive Workshop I learned how PLAY ABSOLUTELY fits in with my program! Attending this workshop has changed my therapy/play for the better when working with children with ASD.” – Jodie K., PLAY Project Workshop attendee
“I attended last week’s workshop and the training was fantastic. I came back to work today and tried a few of the methods with immediate success!” – Gina T., PLAY Project Workshop Attendee
