PLAY Project Two-Day Intensive Workshop
Richard Solomon, MD, founder of The PLAY Project, believes every young child with autism should have access to life-changing early intervention, by empowering their parents or caregivers. The PLAY Project strives to create a world where all children with autism receive early intervention services and parents choose the best treatment options for their child.
This professional development opportunity will provide you with an overview of the PLAY Project methods and principles along with case studies to gain immediate skills in helping children with autism. The workshop consists of case studies, video analysis of parent and child interaction, and group activities that develop your skills in play-based, developmental and behavioral techniques for engaging children with autism and other developmental delays.

Adirondack Helping Hands
Adirondack Helping Hands is dedicated to providing the highest quality, strength based therapeutic approach to learning for children with developmental delays and diagnoses, while offering on-going communication to families. Parent involvement and participation are extremely vital to the success of this program. We are committed to working as a team to meet your child’s needs. We believe in a child-directed therapy approach. Our agency’s philosophy embraces that each child is unique and, therefore; our therapists adjust their therapy techniques to meet each child’s specific needs, not just their diagnosis. We understand that a child’s work is their play and is critical to a child’s development, so therapy is individually tailored with this in mind. Our philosophy is research and evidence based and follows the concepts outlined in the DIR/Floortime Model by Dr.Greenspan, which focuses on providing therapy to the whole child while simultaneously fostering healthy social-emotional development. Adirondack Helping Hands will be implementing The PLAY Project model soon! The PLAY Project is a parent implemented, intensive early intervention program for young children with autism that is evidence-based.
