Ann Arbor Training 1The last week of October marked the final PLAY training of the season. If you didn’t have a chance to attend, here are some of the highlights (don’t forget to check our calendar for future trainings and workshops!):

1.  Networking with pediatric professionals from Guam to Washington, DC to California and many areas in between, all of whom are passionate about improving the lives of children with autism and their families and caregivers!

2.  The opportunity to help a mother of a toddler with autism by watching her home video and making suggestions for how to better engage her son in playful activities.

3.  Listening to Dr. Rick Solomon share real-life, applicable techniques to help professionals best support parents when they learn of their child’s autism diagnosis.

4.  Heart-warming accounts from the Parent Panel: “The PLAY Project was the first time a professional saw my child with autism as a whole person instead of what he doesn’t do. We are a happier family. I finally feel like I’m a great mom.”

5.  The chance to visit the world-famous foodie destination, Zingerman’s Delicatessen!

The next PLAY Project training will be held in Ann Arbor, MI on April 25 – 28, 2014.  For detailed information about The PLAY Project training and certification programs including how you can become a Certified PLAY Project Consultant, please visit our Training Page or contact us at info@playproject.org.
