It is with great sadness that we share the news of Mick Katschor’s death on September 5, 2013. Mick was one of the founding board members of the Michigan Autism Partnership (MAP), a non-profit organization that provided P.L.A.Y. Project scholarships for families throughout Michigan. The Katschors were also one of the first families to enroll in The P.L.A.Y. Project when it began at the University of Michigan in 2001.
“Mick affected the lives of so many Michigan families without any of them knowing of his generosity. For years, he and his family organized the MAP golf outing to raise funds for the scholarship program,” Dr. Solomon said. “It is one of many legacies he leaves behind.”
If you are a family that benefited from a MAP scholarship, you can leave a comment on Mick’s memorial page. To support the family, you can donate to the Katschor Family Fund, C/O Chase Bank, to contribute to their children’s education.
