Teaching PLAY helps children with autism in the classroom

Childcare, pre-school and kindergarten children with autism are often hard to engage in academic activities.

Teaching PLAY is a classroom application of The P.L.A.Y. Project® that focuses on a child’s functional development and interaction so children with autism will be more successful in school both socially and academically.

In Teaching PLAY we believe that ‘engagement leads to educational readiness’

Throughout all classroom activities, school staff will learn how to incorporate The PLAY Project’s evidence-based, developmental approach without disrupting classroom routines. Teaching PLAY is practical, effective, and fits into the classroom setting in a natural way.

How Teaching PLAY works:

  • Will give you the foundation to immediately apply the principles and methods of The PLAY Project within your classroom. CLICK HERE  to access our course. 
  • Train school personnel within your own school district or to consult with school districts within your community. The model works well in integrated as well as self-contained classes. Through our PLAY Project Certification professionals can be trained to become Teaching PLAY Consultants(To train school personnel), PLAY Project Consultants ( To coach parents)  or Dual Certified (To train both school personnel and/or parents).
