The PLAY Project, founded by Dr. Rick, envisions a world where all children with autism receive early intervention
services and parents choose the best treatments for their child.
This professional development opportunity will provide you with an overview of the PLAY Project methods & principles.
Case studies will build your skills and help you gain immediate practical tools to help children with autism.

Learning Objectives – After this training participants will be able to:
-Describe the 7 Circles of PLAY and their application within the
PLAY Autism Intervention Program when working with children with ASD.
-Define intensive autism intervention and differentiate among play-based,
developmental, and behavioral approaches.
-Identify evidence-informed techniques used to support the development of language,
social interaction, behavior, and play skills in children with autism.
-Describe Greenspan’s six Functional Developmental Levels (FDLs) and their relationship to the
PLAY Project Autism Intervention model.
-Recognize common behaviors and characteristics associated with sensory processing challenges
in children with autism.
-Explain how an individual child profile is developed and outline how this profile informs intervention
planning to support social interaction.
-Identify indicators of developmental progress and key PLAY Project strategies through analysis of
video-based case examples.

This training will focus exclusively on The PLAY Project Model of Early Intervention and Parent Coaching
and will not include information on other similar or related models of Early Intervention or Parent Coaching.
