About this Training:

In this special training event, Dr. Rick Solomon MD (“The fun doctor”) will teach the 2 day workshop live streamed

over zoom. Dr. Rick, with his expertise, playful sense of humor and heartfelt concern for children and families,

will share his 25 years of practical clinical experience and present up-to-date research evidence for developmental,

relationship-based and playful interventions for children with autism and their families. Don’t miss this rare opportunity!

This 2 day live streamed workshop, for professionals and parents, will provide a deep dive into PLAY Project methods,

principles, techniques and activities. Participants will gain immediate skills in helping children with autism.

The workshop consists of case study video analyses of parent and child interaction that will develop your skills in play-based,

developmental and behavioral techniques for engaging children with autism and other developmental delays.

Learning Objectives – After this training participants will be able to:

-Describe the 7 Circles of PLAY and their application within the

PLAY Autism Intervention Program  when working with children with ASD.

-Define intensive autism intervention and differentiate among play-based,

developmental, and behavioral approaches.

-Identify evidence-informed techniques used to support the development of language,

social interaction, behavior, and play skills in children with autism.

-Describe Greenspan’s six Functional Developmental Levels (FDLs) and their relationship to the

PLAY Project Autism Intervention model.

-Recognize common behaviors and characteristics associated with sensory processing challenges

in children with autism.

-Explain how an individual child profile is developed and outline how this profile informs intervention

planning to support social interaction.

-Identify indicators of developmental progress and key PLAY Project strategies through analysis of

video-based case examples.

and will not include information on other similar or related models of Early Intervention or Parent Coaching.

-Attend the full workshop

-Complete the course learning assessment.

We highly encourage our participants to turn on their cameras during the workshop, but it is not required.
